Master Builder

When we heard the verse from Acts 17 today I was reassured about a principle I hold fast to and that is that God is constantly engineering the circumstances of my life to fulfill the plan He has for the building up of HIS body, that is the church.
Read it again,

““The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. Acts 17.25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. Acts 17.26 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. Acts 17.27 God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.” (Acts 17.24-27 NIV)

When we considered the fact last week that God placed His seed into the womb of Mary so that Christ could be born of a virgin, that is something to WONDER about. But the real wonder is not that He did it but WHY He would do it. That is the question.

To think that God has placed us where He wants us in our world so that we can join Him in spreading the good news is exciting! Imagine, we are ambassadors of Christ because He desires that we be involved with Him in this work. He certainly does not need us, He just wants to share the joy of introducing someone to His Son, Jesus.

The wonder of it all is that He would desire our fellowship enough to go to all this trouble and pain.

This verse has challenged me to be even more alert as to what God is doing around me. God is truly the Master Builder and He is busy building His church. I don’t want to miss out on any opportunity that He desire’s to give me.

How about you?
