A Servants Heart part II

Memory Verses
I have added a third verse on the blog. We will review all three verses this coming week.

Please use our prayer list as a basis for our daily prayer time. We need to hold each other up before God’s throne.

If you signed up to bring snacks to VBS be sure to have them there Thursday afternoon or no later than 9:00 AM Friday. Thanks to each of you for your help.

This Week’s Review

When we consider all that Christ went through on the cross, not just the pain but the separation from His Father, bearing the Father’s WRATH, bearing all of the sin of all creation from the past to the end of time, bearing all of the guilt associated with that sin and that is a short list. When we contemplate the cost Christ was willing to pay to serve us, we should consider the opportunity to serve others a privilege, not a chore.
There are some real tensions that pull at our heart on this issue and we should guard our hearts in an effort to be sensitive to God’s leading and recognizing opportunities around us as they appear.
Sometimes there are people that we reach out to that are not very kind in return. What to do?? As we discussed, when we treat people as Christ would we build on the bridge going to that persons heart. There may come a time when that person will come to you with a serious hurt or problem that only God can heal. Then we know that serving that person was worth it.
Pause right now to pray and ask God to give you the grace and power to exercise a servant’s heart towards all the people around you. The kind along with the not so kind. Ask God to do the same for each member of our class.

Next Week

Be prepared to share what your goal for the next 30 days is going to be. Take the time to write out your goal in your book or on a piece of paper. If you don’t write out your goals, you probably won’t achieve them.
We will review our goals and memory verses and then begin the third lesson,”Discovering Your Gifts”

Last but not least
Keep up your daily devotions and be reading the verses on page 81 that go along with the study.
To be successful in this world is to become the man or woman that God wants us to be and achieve the goals that God helps us to set.
As Pastor Ryan stated Sunday, its not what we do but who we are. We are the sons and daughters of the Living God. Lets act that way!

May God richly bless each of you.
